African Political Philosophers Association (APPA) is an academic association of scholars who focus their research on African leadership and governance. This includes mainly African political leadership and African economy. So, the African social life form the basis of our research.

To be the foremost policy think-tank in Africa where the intellectual and creative resources of social, political, and economic philosophers are pooled and directed at development of political philosophies and political ideologies for the common and greatest good of African states.

African Socio-Political, Economic and Development-based philosophies

OBJECTIVES

  1. To unite all social, political and economic philosophers in Africa.
  2. To develop Social, Political, Economic and Development-based philosophies for leadership in African states.
  3. To act as the political and economic think-tank for the leaders of African states.
  4. To propagate the role of social and political philosophy in politics and governance.
  5. To annually hold an African Political Leadership Summit as an International Conference on African Socio-Political and Economic Philosophy
  6. To seek for a Consultative Status with the African Union as African Political Thinkers
  7. To create and award an AFRICAN PRIZE IN POLITICAL LEADERSHIP to the best people-focused national political leaders in the African Union.
  8. To promote political ethics as the value-structure for good political leadership in African states.
  9. To facilitate the Philosophia Politica: Journal of African Political Philosophy and Leadership.

BECOME A MEMBER


There are two categories of membership, the individual membership and corporate membership.

Individual membership:


Individual Membership is open to scholars from African countries and to non-African scholars who research on African social life.

Corporate membership


There is also corporate membership for political philosophers associations of African countries, such as the Political Philosophers Association of Nigeria, PPAN.
